Giveaway!

I'd really like your opinion! I have a new product that I've been slowly working on for a while. It's a sewing kit for a waterproof cosmetic bag. The thing is, what with the kids, other work projects, housework, trying to have a bit of a social life, the endless washing, washing, washing, etc, it's taken a while and I've lost any sense of objectivity. I'd love if you could take a look at them here or here and tell me what you think. Even if you just tell me which is your favourite fabric. Everyone who comments will go into a draw for the kit containing their favourite fabric.

The kits contain fabric, vinyl, zipper, pattern and detailed instructions. I've had fun choosing a bunch of cute fabrics designed by Aussies (Danielle Stewart, Aunty Cookie and Melbomba so far) and hand screen printed in Australia. If these work out I'll be looking at increasing the range of fabrics.

I'll draw the winner on Monday the 2nd of August.

PS You can choose the tree print in blue, or the protea print in aubergine if you prefer.

They look fantastic! I have been meaning to make a few of these type of things to carry nappy supplies etc around in. I like the blue proteas best!

Wow! you have done an amazing job of these. Very professional. The pouch is cute, fabric choices are beautiful, and the packaging is great. these will be a hit for sure. i like the Spring Birds Danielle Stewart and Belbird Melissa Bombardiere fabrics best. yep, i can't even think of any constructive criticism, cos i can't find anything to criticise.

ps exhibition on til the end of august :)

OK, well for starters, you can tell your objectivity* to take a chill pill, because I reckon these kits are the BEES KNEES!

* Though I do understand how the Objectivity can lose grip on perspective what with that whole washing mountain bizzo and all...

This is a great idea! Perfect for a busy person who wants to sew something but doesn't have the time to pick out a pattern and fabric for themselves.
I love the green bird fabric - so cute!

I'm in love!

I'm a novice with the sewing machine (but eagerly teaching myself) - this project would be so fun to try and so practical.

Fabrics are sensational!!

Many thanks!

Hot Suse! Smokin' hot!

I love this as a kit. Your fabric choices are always spot on. Trust yourself, Suse. Your instincts are right on.

My favourite is the black and white belbird fabric. The packaging is great looking and this is a really good idea. I could see young kids also buying these kits or they would make a great gift.

They look like great little kits. I've started to notice how more and more girls start to get "back into sewing" after they have a baby- these would make a great gift!
I love the aqua protea print- very fresh. :)

Great idea. I like the aubergine proteas. Very reasonably priced, too. Surprised they're not running out the door!

What a great idea! I would love to make my own makeup bag. Great that the fabric is protected so you can keep it clean. I love the red trees.
